Towards islands
There are three ways to reach L'Isle-aux -Grues. Private cruises and excursions, by air, or the provincial ferry service.
The ferry service provides a daily connection with the city of Montmagny and L'Isle-aux-Grues, the only inhabited island in the archipelago of the same name. Please note that this service is available when there is no ice on the river, usually from May to December. There are usually two to three return trips per day. The service is scheduled according to the tides and is, therefore, variable from day to day.
The rest of the year, people use the air service which is available at all times.
A private cruise and excursion company also provides access to Grosse Isle and Isle-aux-Grues on a weekly basis from the marina at Berthier-sur-Mer, a village nearby Montmagny.
